Product Liability/Products
Liability
Product liability laws
were established because
consumers have the right
to assume that the manufacturer
of a product has supplied
it without defects that
can cause injury and/or
destruction. Products
unsuitable for what it
was manufactured and marketed
for or the containing
a broken or missing part
that can be repaired is
considered a product liability.
Laws often attribute strict
liability on anyone along
the manufacturing process
providing a defective
product.
There are several different
types of defects that
are considered products
liability, including manufacturing
errors, a design defect,
or misrepresentation of
the product by failing
to provide proper warning
or instruction for any
possible risks. Anyone
contributing to the defective
product can be considered
to have caused the product
liability. Not just the
manufacturer can be held
liable for product liability
but a wholesaler, advertiser,
seller, or anyone else
depending on the problems
that occurred.
If
you have suffered an injury
due to a defective product,
please contact us to confer
with a products liability
lawyer.
